The 125 N. Market (formerly the Wichita Executive Centre and SC Telecom building) was built in 1963. Originally named The Vickers Tower, it housed Vickers Petroleum and many of the area’s great oil and gas companies. It was also home to Kansas State Bank & Trust. At the time it was built, the 19-story structure was the largest office tower in Wichita.
The building quickly filled with tenants and became one of the city’s most sought-after office addresses, due to its sleek polished granite exterior and fabulous 360-degree panoramic views. With a covered skywalk across Market Street, the building was directly connected to a multi-block area of downtown businesses, banks and commerce.
