Overview of 125 N. Market

The 125 N. Market (formerly known as Wichita Executive Centre and SC Telecom building) was built in 1963 for the Kansas State Bank & Trust.  At that time, the 19-story structure was the largest office tower in Wichita.

The building quickly procured tenants and became one of the city’s most sought-after office addresses, with its sleek polished granite exterior and fabulous 360-degree panoramic views.  With a covered skywalk across Market Street, the building was directly connected to a multi-block area of downtown businesses, banks and commerce.

Thanks to tenants such as the Wichita Royale Hotel and the sleek, 19th-floor Wichita Club, many Wichitans sought out the building for more than business.  The hotel and the club offered sumptuous meals and elegant Sunday brunches, as well as live entertainment.  Both the hotel and the club hosted many elegant weddings, receptions and business conventions.

In addition to the structure and event spaces the iconic “Time and Temperature” sign was also a Wichita landmark that could be seen from miles, ensuring the building’s visibility.

By refurbishing and remodeling key aspects of this building, Security National Life Insurance Company believes 125 N. Market will be a vibrant centerpiece in the efforts to revitalize downtown Wichita.
